Serpentine Samsara

Serpentine Samsara

Oh, most "sagacious" siren,

Sing me a song.

Sputter perfidious praise

With your forked tongue.

Tempt me with your golden hook.

Reveal your Reynard religion-

Your sordid sermon,

Your gospel in Gethsemane.

You, Betrayer,

Have damned Eurydice

To the flaming furies,

Have coaxed Eve,

With the forbidden fruit,

You,

Are trapped in an asinine,

Serpentine samsara,

Absorbing the malignancy

From your own flesh.

Come now.

Wrap me up

In those endless coils.

Swathe my soul

In your sanctuary of scales.

Bathe me

In your poison,

For I crave what it is to know,

And seek to be reborn.
