Serpentine Samsara

Serpentine Samsara

Oh, most "sagacious" siren,

Sing me a song.

Sputter perfidious praise

With your forked tongue.

Tempt me with your golden hook.

Reveal your Reynard religion-

Your sordid sermon,

Your gospel in Gethsemane.

You, Betrayer,

Who damned Eurydice

To the flaming furies,

Who coaxed Eve,

With the forbidden fruit.

You who trapped in an asinine,

Serpentine samsara,

Absorb the malignancy

From your own flesh.

Come.

Wrap me

In your endless coils.

swathe my soul.

In the sanctuary of your scales

Fill me

With your poison,

So that I might Know

and be Reborn.
